As an artist, my priority aim is to be intense of this society. Especially after COVIT-19 pandemic happened, I am keen to think about my role and what I can involve, although I have not had a solid answer whether artists are essential or not so far. On the other hand, I personally recognize art as hope and would like to share this sense of perspective with others.
My works are mainly about visualizing how people see this world and giving experiences to relive in real, not in conscious or imagination.
The idea of those works is often from the phenomenological point of view, and it helps to understand unconscious knowledge, which is called a priori. Having another perspective potentially could give a chance to gain unknown answers. In this sense, artists have to find staring point of issues.
Currently, my interest is existing of the window. It has a role of bridge between interior and exterior. It is about not only physically but also philosophically. Since art is for people made by people, need to know more about how we observe this world. Window is one of the most familiar motifs to share the idea and makes differences between non-I and the I more obvious. Besides, it has a secure connection with house. So, window symbolizes not only relationship between people but also people and space.
I understand the artwork itself is the report of exploring process because art is just a way of visual communication. Artists have the responsibility to listen to the audience's voice carefully. I believe this is the nature of art. Also, I aim audience would take part in examines by reliving the artist's experience and corresponding their own experience or expectation.
